The supporters of Royal Excel Mouscron booed when Mytarka €ity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Smolarek didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Ademir Braga took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Edgar Poe to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th minute, Ademir Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Royal Excel Mouscron getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Florian Flaskgaard hit a great ball. Mytarka €ity's Guga Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Kindermans in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Royal Excel Mouscron getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Georg Wiberg hit a great ball. Edgar Poe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radowit Grocholski in the 33rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Ademir Braga took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Edgar Poe to make any attempt to save it. In the 37th match minute, Mytarka €ity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomir Nieuzyla to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Oscar Kindermans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Excel Mouscron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 42 minutes into the match, Frank Kunze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guga Baiano. Mytarka €ity's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Kunze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Christian Sundström put in a rough tackle. 46 minutes into the game, one of Royal Excel Mouscron:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademir Braga made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sverker Blixt got free with Guga Baiano in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Royal Excel Mouscron's goal looked a bit too open when Cezary Fudalej came free, but Edgar Poe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Kindermans in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mytarka €ity's zone, Oscar Kindermans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga Baiano came out of the goal and Oscar Kindermans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wlodzimierz Smolarek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mytarka €ity were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Royal Excel Mouscron's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radowit Grocholski took the corner. In the 76th minute, Oscar Kindermans made a precise shot to the right of Guga Baiano. Mytarka €ity's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Guga Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Kunze, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Royal Excel Mouscron's Frank Kunze slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guga Baiano. That made the score 4-4 after 81 minutes of play. Royal Excel Mouscron were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Mytarka €ity to leave the ground with a draw.
