The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan Fuentes made in the 7th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Americo Olivar however managed to control. A nice corner shot did that Americo Olivar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Delmiro Gorka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Fausto Preuss hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Juan Fuentes with Americo Olivar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 26 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's Mostafa Muhammed sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beto Sola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of FCSB CUENCA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MOEBIO:s goal. In the 33rd minute, Mostafa Muhammed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Juan Fuentes in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MOEBIO's Ivan Reno. In the 39th minute Salbatore Colillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Gorka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MOEBIO booed when FCSB CUENCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Fuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Gorka made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Marcio Carreira sent off a good shot on target. After the first half MOEBIO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mostafa Muhammed made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Americo Olivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Gorka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Sola made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Mostafa Muhammed sent off a good shot on target. MOEBIO's Hao Fan Chuan was substituted for Melchor Markel. MOEBIO's Vuk Urgovski was substituted for Mostafa Muhammed. Juan Fuentes made in the 65th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Americo Olivar however managed to control. 67 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Preuss came free, but Delmiro Gorka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind MOEBIO's goalkeeper Delmiro Gorka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, MOEBIO's goal looked a bit too open when Marcio Carreira came free, but Delmiro Gorka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmiro Gorka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucila Gimeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Beto Sola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vuk Urgovski in the 83rd minute of play. Marcio Carreira scored 1-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delmiro Gorka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Beto Sola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vuk Urgovski. 91 minutes into the match, Marcio Carreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmiro Gorka. MOEBIO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcio Carreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. FCSB CUENCA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
