In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind IzmirFK's goalkeeper Zydrunas Karcemarskas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Dragones Celestes's Sisebuto Frost nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zydrunas Karcemarskas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Angelo Cuevas sped through IzmirFK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zydrunas Karcemarskas. In the 17th minute, Šukrija Pejović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zydrunas Karcemarskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Felipe Quintupran in the 23rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Dragones Celestes's Zydrunas Karcemarskas threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sisebuto Frost, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With his leg Zydrunas Karcemarskas managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Dragones Celestes's Angelo Cuevas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. IzmirFK's Zydrunas Karcemarskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sisebuto Frost in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by IzmirFK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tohias Alavedra was slow to take the kick. During this time Dragones Celestes's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of IzmirFK's goalie and right to Xosé Suloaga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. IzmirFK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Sisebuto Frost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Cuevas made a kick off. Zydrunas Karcemarskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sisebuto Frost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zydrunas Karcemarskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sisebuto Frost in the 57th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Sisebuto Frost notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of IzmirFK's Zydrunas Karcemarskas. Rutenio Nilo replaced Sisebuto Frost. 75 minutes into the game, one of Dragones Celestes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 83rd minute, Börje Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 minutes of play, Dragones Celestes's Angelo Cuevas made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zydrunas Karcemarskas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 97 minutes into the match, Dragones Celestes's Hugo Orlando Ferraro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zydrunas Karcemarskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dragones Celestes fans cheered their team off the field, for while IzmirFK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
