Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's Rafael Gerazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Forsberg in the 14th minute of play. Songur Yoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolaas Anelka, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Nicolaas Anelka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Songur Yoran was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Nicolaas Anelka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Songur Yoran when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd minute Nicolaas Anelka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Songur Yoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Arsenal FC defense, Nicolaas Anelka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Songur Yoran. The Arsenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Songur Yoran should have stopped the shot. Songur Yoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolaas Anelka in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolaas Anelka came free, but Songur Yoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolaas Anelka to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Damaso Orlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's Rafael Gerazan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dragan Hristozov hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Damaso Orlin's late challenge caught a Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Orlin helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Gerazan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damaso Orlin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arsenal FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Arsenal FC.
