Everyone was convinced a goal was close when CemCeminay SK's Doğaner Tosun in the 14th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Teo De Jonge was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for KFC Vliegplein through an amazing save. Teo De Jonge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Augusto Trancoso's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 17th match minute, CemCeminay SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekrem Sümeroğlu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Laporte in the 23rd minute of play forced CemCeminay SK's goalkeeper Olov Zachrisson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Clijsters struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Olov Zachrisson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Vliegplein. Nae Boieraș lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 27th minute, one of CemCeminay SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CemCeminay SK. CemCeminay SK:s Olov Zachrisson showed great skill when he stopped Norberto Oskitz:s penalty. 32 minutes into the game, KFC Vliegplein's Eddy Laporte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olov Zachrisson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 36th minute José Augusto Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo De Jonge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Laporte in the 38th minute of play forced CemCeminay SK's goalkeeper Olov Zachrisson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When José Augusto Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CemCeminay SK's protests and gave José Augusto Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CemCeminay SK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. The wind increased when José Augusto Trancoso made the kick off in the second half. Olov Zachrisson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Laporte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Clijsters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Olov Zachrisson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nedim Eldemir hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Zekai İksir's late challenge caught a KFC Vliegplein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zekai İksir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, one of CemCeminay SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CemCeminay SK. Olov Zachrisson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Eddy Laporte sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute Eddy Laporte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Zachrisson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gökmen Usalan fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CemCeminay SK's protests and gave Gökmen Usalan a yellow card for diving instead. Gökmen Usalan kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Eddy Laporte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Zachrisson was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Ferdinand Weijnants could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Olov Zachrisson made a huge save. The supporters of KFC Vliegplein booed when CemCeminay SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zekai İksir didn't get a good kick on the ball. KFC Vliegplein's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
