The audience was convinced that Jörn Helström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Bonifaco was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Helström came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jörn Helström to strike the kick off in the second half. Haakon á Borg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart Pellen in the 52nd minute. Jon Niebe hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Haakon á Borg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Lekubegi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Helström in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Cura del Futbol booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabastian Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candelaria FC's Antonio Alzamendi was substituted for Arnaldo Marquez. Antonio Alzamendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Haakon á Borg made a huge save. Candelaria FC's Okanalp Özdil got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haakon á Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okanalp Özdil in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Okanalp Özdil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haakon á Borg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haakon á Borg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Alzamendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okanalp Özdil in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Fresco to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Haakon á Borg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Alzamendi. Despite being the better team, Candelaria FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
