With an all-out effort, Vaqueteros FC's Haakon á Borg threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tosun Paşa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chu Rong Jun hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Haakon á Borg made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tosun Paşa sent off a good shot on target. The tension between the Cura del Futbol and the Vaqueteros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vaqueteros FC's Roch Wodaszak was substituted for Bartolo Argina. After a defensive mix-up in Vaqueteros FC's zone, Jörn Helström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Tono came out of the goal and Jörn Helström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cai Wei Xu took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haakon á Borg. Haakon á Borg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pablo Solari to strike the kick off in the second half. Haakon á Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tosun Paşa in the 60th minute of the match. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vaqueteros FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cura del Futbol had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
