The audience thought a goal was coming when Franz Midgley got free with Tommy Thompson in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC LIVERPOOL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ahmet Rıfat Nurdag tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Tommy Thompson. Dennis Bergkamp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Bush read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The corner led FC LIVERPOOL's Aureliano Hunfredo to fire away a dangerous shot which Luke Bush despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. T H F C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
