Isaac Frisco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho González having to make a save. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Soter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eigtheenstars 2's Ignacio Valery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Eigtheenstars 2 from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Feliberto Soter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ignacio Valery made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Amin Kurd sent off a good shot on target. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Bazil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Valery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amin Kurd in the 24th minute of play. Bagui Lizana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ignacio Valery made a huge save. Amin Kurd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ignacio Valery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Nacho González, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Astillero del Guayas's Ignacio Valery threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Amin Kurd, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Astillero del Guayas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eigtheenstars 2 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
