Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Maidana in the 7th minute of the match. Cristobal Goito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amin Kurd in the 8th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Teofilo Maidana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho González. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho González should have stopped the shot. Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amin Kurd in the 12th minute of play. Teofilo Maidana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Carabata Groove booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Masa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Teofilo Maidana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Maidana came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carabata Groove's Teofilo Maidana got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Maidana took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nacho González. Nacho González dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Teofilo Maidana might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nacho González. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofilo Maidana ran back to his position shaking his head. Nacho González made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Maidana in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Maidana in the 37th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Nacho González to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47thth minute of the game Xaiver Ascarretazabal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Carabata Groove made a substitution. Andreas Möller replaced Herbert Pilipiec. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mattias Svan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Carabata Groove's goal looked a bit too open when Xaiver Ascarretazabal came free, but Cristobal Goito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, David Rios notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González. Nacho González was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Svan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, Mauro Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho González came out of the goal and Mauro Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Svan. A collision led to Carabata Groove getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Adolfo Dolcet hit a great ball. Cristobal Goito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Svan in the 74th minute of play. Nacho González made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Elazar in the 77th minute. With his leg Nacho González managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Carabata Groove's David Rios fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute, Mattias Svan made a precise shot to the right of Cristobal Goito. Carabata Groove's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Elazar in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nacho González saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. Jiang Hui Guang hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Elazar came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho González had great luck who in the 94thth minute grab hold of the ball when Mauro Elazar from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Carabata Groove were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Astillero del Guayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andreas Möller took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Andreas Möller got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nacho González quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristobal Goito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amin Kurd, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Lampa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carabata Groove the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Elazar in the 98th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Nacho González to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carabata Groove's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
