After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Gonzalo Parraga got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Alcântara came free, but Yuri da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Cláudio das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Francisco Vianna hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ferreira Lopes MZC from getting a goal against them. Tomé Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Godoi in the 26th minute of the match. The Olivedos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Alcântara in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuri da Cunha saved Olivedos from getting behind. After taking down the ball on Ferreira Lopes MZC's corner Dedé Paiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yuri da Cunha quite easily take care of the ball. Ferreira Lopes MZC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Abel de Godoi scored to the left of an out of position Tomé Montenegro, making the score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Ferreira Lopes MZC made a substitution. Herald Depauw replaced Luka Beaugendre. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dário Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dário Martins. Tomé Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 56th minute of play. Dário Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Martins in the 79th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Novaes couldn't finish the play. Tomé Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferreira Lopes MZC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisinho Ceresso was slow to take the kick. During this time Olivedos's players had a chance to rest. Olivedos's Alexsandro da Costa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tomé Montenegro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 96th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yuri da Cunha having to make a save.
