Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abel de Godoi took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernado Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Christiano Ronaldo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yuri da Cunha. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. When Carles Cannavaro fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unione Sportiva's protests and gave Carles Cannavaro a yellow card for diving instead. Abel de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiano Ronaldo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Yuri da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unione Sportiva. Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Sampaio in the 20th minute of play. Fernado Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Magno Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernado Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Abel de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olivedos's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel de Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernado Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Sampaio in the 36th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Fernado Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernado Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Vianna in the 39th minute of the match. Unione Sportiva's Carles Cannavaro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tony Schmidt in the 41 minute of the game. Gonzalo Parraga hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Yuri da Cunha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kimon Yfantis. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christiano Ronaldo made a kick off. Fernado Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Vianna in the 50th minute of the match. Yuri da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Christiano Ronaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuri da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christiano Ronaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 59th minute of play. Fernado Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 63rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Tony Schmidt in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Unione Sportiva's Carles Cannavaro. Christiano Ronaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yuri da Cunha having to make a save. 70 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Ronaldo came free, but Yuri da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Sampaio came free, but Fernado Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves got control of the ball when Ricardinho Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernado Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 85th minute of play. When Unione Sportiva's Christiano Ronaldo in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olivedos's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Tony Schmidt in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Unione Sportiva's Carles Cannavaro. The audience was convinced that Christiano Ronaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yuri da Cunha was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
