Adriano Alfieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 5th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Alfredo Toschi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Jaime França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Cinalli came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A beautiful save bye Catugi FC's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Alberto Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Nunez Feliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Maranhense got free with Adriano Alfieri in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Carlos Alberto Soares took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Adriano Alfieri to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nunez Feliz made a kick off. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Toschi in the 53rd minute of play. Nunez Feliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Reko Nybacka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when CA Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Nobile didn't get a good kick on the ball. CA Boca Jrs made a substitution. Emiliano Di Luzio replaced Alfredo Toschi. Armin Nobile hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Adriano Alfieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime França, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 70th minute, Edson Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ermanno Marrone in the 71st minute really tested Reko Nybacka's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Emiliano Di Luzio took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Reko Nybacka to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, CA Boca Jrs's Reko Nybacka threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emiliano Di Luzio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nunez Feliz got free with Reko Nybacka in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute of the match CA Boca Jrs got a corner. Catugi FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ermanno Marrone ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ermanno Marrone almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka did a great save. 83 minutes into the game Ermanno Marrone kicked a great long shot which passed Reko Nybacka straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-2. One couldn't see Ermanno Marrone behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Emiliano Di Luzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Reko Nybacka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reko Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Nunez Feliz sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CA Boca Jrs eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
