Gasteiz Latorre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito de Godoi having to interfere. Jeremy Avellana made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Sabino Vilhena sent off a good shot on target. Sabino Vilhena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jeremy Avellana made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Matos Velhos's Adalberto Peres got a free kick in the 15th minute. Celso Trasloseros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Jeremy Avellana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vito de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gasteiz Latorre in the 20th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Matos Velhos's Júlio Gentil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeremy Avellana. Jeremy Avellana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Gentil came free, but Jeremy Avellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Avellana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Gentil in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Júlio Gentil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremy Avellana was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Durval Meira hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Jeremy Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Durval Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gasteiz Latorre struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Vito de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Dep. Soc. Rodo. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Anthon Öberg made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Candal in the 53rd minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Júlio Gentil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremy Avellana was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Matos Velhos's Lee Beckford was substituted for Henrique Candal. A collision led to Matos Velhos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Durval Meira hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Matos Velhos's zone, Anthon Öberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vito de Godoi came out of the goal and Anthon Öberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anthon Öberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Vito de Godoi made a huge save. Lee Beckford hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Matos Velhos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
