After some careless play in the Gremio Viana defense, Santi Gavilanes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Fiúza. The Gremio Viana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Fiúza should have stopped the shot. Samuel Fiúza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santi Gavilanes went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santi Gavilanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Samuel Fiúza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiaguinho Gavilanes in the 30th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Santi Gavilanes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuel Fiúza, 3-0. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ...Pingue S.C....! ...Pingue S.C....:s Javier Abin showed great skill when he stopped Augustin Panaiteanu:s penalty. Samuel Fiúza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santi Gavilanes in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santi Gavilanes was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Santi Gavilanes came free, but Samuel Fiúza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gremio Viana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. ...Pingue S.C....'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
