Borussia Dortmund's Yakup Sargut was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mateusz Czermak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 14 minutes into the match, Jason Béroud had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yao Zhan Sang. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jason Béroud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jason Béroud made a kick off.
