Olavarria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Bernal in the 8th minute of play. Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Matas in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Eugenio Bernal notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Olavarria FC's Michel Hendrickx. Michel Hendrickx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaias Matas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi Papardelas saved Piquirenda FC from getting behind. Olavarria FC's Mauro Kotlar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Didi Papardelas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 24 played minutes Olavarria FC got a freekick which was hit by Thys Lenoir. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Bernal in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Hendrickx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Matas in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Severiano Ibañez got a free kick in the 46th minute. Didi Papardelas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Matas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eugenio Bernal made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Olavarria FC's zone, Eugenio Bernal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Hendrickx came out of the goal and Eugenio Bernal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Bernal came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi Papardelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Matas in the 63rd minute of play. Olavarria FC's Michel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Bernal in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Piquirenda FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Benigno Claus hit a great ball. Benigno Claus kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match, Ervigio Ojeda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Didi Papardelas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Angelo Che replaced Filiberto Indartsu. 83 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Abeita came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jilian Oosters in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Laureano Abeita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Ervigio Ojeda took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Didi Papardelas to make any attempt to save it. Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Abeita in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
