The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nick Heesen might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelio Cordearo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nick Heesen ran back to his position shaking his head. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Heesen in the 10th minute of the match. Luciano Pirro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Pirro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wang Lei kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Heesen in the 14th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Nick Heesen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Ágætis Byrjun got a corner. Racing Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Cordarius ran over to the corner to take the kick. Efmamjjasond Bronco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Nick Heesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Cordearo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 26 minutes Racing Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ladislao Cordarius who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ladislao Cordarius got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cornelio Cordearo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efmamjjasond Bronco in the 29th minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Pirro in the 60th minute of play. Racing Club's Homer Field was substituted for Miroslaw Jajecznica. Samuel Nevada made in the 64th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ramiro Lano. The audience was convinced that Nick Heesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Cordearo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Georg Hagberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Alejandro dos Santos replaced Gert van den Bergh. In the 91st minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Samuel Nevada went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Racing Club's corner Samuel Nevada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Georg Hagberg quite easily take care of the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Samuel Nevada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ágætis Byrjun the free kick. Samuel Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Nick Heesen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
