FC Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Callegari the free kick. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Callegari reached it. Fidelio Haller's late challenge caught a Callegari's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidelio Haller helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Fidelio Haller got a free kick in the 91st minute. Ramón Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sevier having to interfere. Maximilian Buser kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. FC Lugano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
