Ataman Uraza started the match with the kick off. Guido Emennegger got a throw-in 3 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fidelio Haller. After 4 minutes, Ruhi Sulasi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤ and the FC Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruhi Sulasi to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th match minute, Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ataman Uraza to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lugano's zone, Ataman Uraza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Sevier came out of the goal and Ataman Uraza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Arif Bilge Kumanbay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Sevier was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Odysseus De Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ataman Uraza was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 19th minute, Ataman Uraza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kadri Balkar hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Tiziano Gamache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Lugano's Tiziano Gamache got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruhi Sulasi to maneuver through the defense. Tiziano Gamache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Metin Aktaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Metin Aktaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiziano Gamache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Odysseus De Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Metin Aktaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤'s Metin Aktaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 42nd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiziano Gamache to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Arif Bilge Kumanbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 55 in the game by Tiziano Gamache from a close distance when the talented Metin Aktaş managed to make a qualified save. Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤'s players were relieved. FC Lugano's Fedor Adler was substituted for Fidelio Haller. In the 61st minute, Arif Bilge Kumanbay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kadri Balkar was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 65 played minutes Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤ got a freekick which was hit by Kadri Balkar. 66 minutes into the game, Cihan Çanak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lugano the free kick. If Tiziano Gamache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Metin Aktaş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiziano Gamache in the 74th minute of the match. Odysseus De Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Metin Aktaş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odysseus De Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤'s Cihan Çanak got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Cihan Çanak off the ground. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cihan Çanak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Metin Aktaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odysseus De Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 83rd minute of play forced Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤'s goalkeeper Metin Aktaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Diederich might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Metin Aktaş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Diederich ran back to his position shaking his head. Tʂ MҽყԃαɳGüƈü Ⓢ③⑤'s Şenel İlker was substituted for Necdet Koçyiğit. Metin Aktaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odysseus De Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiziano Gamache in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Metin Aktaş prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
