The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Trenton Loomis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Metolokos MZ Clube booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trenton Loomis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Peres's late challenge caught a Key Biscayne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 43rd minute Fabiano Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asher Huggins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reginald Bledsoe came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dinei Carvalho could save by the left post. 63 minutes into the match, Fabiano Jacinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Asher Huggins. Key Biscayne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabiano Jacinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Asher Huggins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Umberto Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Fonseca came free, but Asher Huggins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Key Biscayne FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
