Rolando Medina scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Candido Millan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Candido Millan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celedonio Leoncio went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Palermo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Acratas Unidos:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Erruki in the 46th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Candido Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Medina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evelio Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Urbez in the 52nd minute of play. Candido Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Erruki, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Norberto Lehen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Acratas Unidos fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Acratas Unidos's Celedonio Leoncio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 69 played minutes Acratas Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Medina. Ernesto Ramond hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Pedro Maraman took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evelio Gines. Evelio Gines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. 75 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Medina came free, but Candido Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palermo's Candido Millan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Palermo from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Acratas Unidos's goalkeeper Evelio Gines, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Acratas Unidos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Astor Obano hit a great ball. Candido Millan made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Bernabe Serapio sent off a good shot on target. After 90 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Fernendo. 91 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Erruki came free, but Candido Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Palermo's Candido Millan got control of the ball when Bernabe Serapio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Acratas Unidos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
