Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Italy's Carlo Borgatello started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlo Borgatello might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mutlu Baykam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlo Borgatello ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam got control of the ball when Carlo Borgatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Ladron to maneuver through the defense. When Carlo Borgatello came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Borgatello couldn't finish the play. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Anfilogino Pittelli got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to Trento Calcio 1921 getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mutlu Civan hit a great ball. Mutlu Baykam was a little too slow when Carlo Borgatello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Trento Calcio 1921's goalkeeper Mutlu Baykam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Italy were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Trento Calcio 1921's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mattia Hummels took the corner. Mutlu Baykam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlo Borgatello's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Carlo Borgatello could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Mutlu Baykam however easily saved by the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Frank Galli notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Italy's Bruno Antognoni. Bruno Antognoni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mutlu Baykam made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Carlo Borgatello sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's goalkeeper Mutlu Baykam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlo Borgatello. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

51 minutes into the match, Carlo Borgatello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mutlu Baykam. Trento Calcio 1921's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlo Borgatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 54 minutes into the game, Arturo Avesani threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Didi Ladron quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 55 minutes into the game, Carlo Borgatello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Mutlu Baykam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Trento Calcio 1921's Arturo Avesani got a free kick in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Borgatello in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mutlu Baykam saved Trento Calcio 1921 from getting behind. Carlo Borgatello scored 5-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mutlu Baykam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Italy's Carmine Bonanni was substituted for Carlo Borgatello. Italy's Attilio Sciarra was substituted for Rui Costa. Trento Calcio 1921's attentive Arturo Avesani managed to snatch the ball when Comunardo Pedroni made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's Fortunato Gatti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Antognoni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Trento Calcio 1921's Fortunato Gatti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Antognoni. Bruno Antognoni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. In the 76th minute, Flavio Miconi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Miconi kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Italy's Bruno Antognoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Galli in the 78th minute of play. Jaakoppi Kallijärvi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Bruno Antognoni made a huge save. With a little luck, Italy's Bruno Antognoni got control of the ball when Jaakoppi Kallijärvi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Bonanni came free, but Mutlu Baykam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Trento Calcio 1921's Fortunato Gatti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Antognoni. Bruno Antognoni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. In the 89th minute, Carmine Bonanni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mutlu Baykam was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-3. Carmine Bonanni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mutlu Baykam having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Pace in the 93rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Bruno Antognoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Italy booed when Trento Calcio 1921 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Italy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trento Calcio 1921 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
