In the 8thth minute of the game Anselmo Nevada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matias Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 10th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea managed to work through San Lorenzo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pankracy Glogowski should have stopped the shot. After 90 minutes of play, San Lorenzo's Kara Melo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pankracy Glogowski was left in no man's land by his defense there!
