FERRABARCA FC's attentive Karl-Johan Valrot managed to snatch the ball when Clemente Moura made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Kusko came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napoleon Dziedelonis made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Andy Cole sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, FERRABARCA FC's Napoleon Dziedelonis got control of the ball when Andy Cole tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, FERRABARCA FC's Marcial Kusko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egun Pais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 minutes Floresta Negra FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrew Robertson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FERRABARCA FC's Sixto Luix to fire away a dangerous shot which Egun Pais despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The FERRABARCA FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FERRABARCA FC's Sixto Luix looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Kusko in the 36th minute of play. Peruanton Tamayo's late challenge caught a Floresta Negra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peruanton Tamayo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, FERRABARCA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peruanton Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Peruanton Tamayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peruanton Tamayo to make the kick off. Egun Pais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peruanton Tamayo's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in FERRABARCA FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! FERRABARCA FC:s Napoleon Dziedelonis showed great skill when he stopped Andy Cole:s penalty. Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski was substituted for Andy Cole. In the 81st minute Jardel Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Dziedelonis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
