After a rather tough play, México Eterno MZC's Dráusio de Alcântara got a free kick in the 27th minute. Garth Brough struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jailson Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Australian Youth Academy. Dieter Gamache came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keylor Navas could save by the left post. Keylor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 32 minutes into the game, Aristide Ciuvică cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Australian Youth Academy made a substitution. Fletcher Baba replaced Gabriel Martini. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
