After 17 played minutes ATLETAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Gibert. Lico Tarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermann Hesse having to interfere. In the 28th minute Lico Tarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermann Hesse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Basualdo in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bedir Erdönmez saved ATLETAS FC from getting behind. Damian Regulez made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gaizkine Ibern however managed to control. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bartolo Basualdo to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lico Tarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermann Hesse was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Erruki Velarroa did a quick kick off. If Erruki Velarroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 118th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With neither of the teams able to find a winning goal, the match would be decided by penalties!

The referee gave Deportivo Popolizio FBC a penalty, 142 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joao Montanez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ATLETAS FC's Bedir Erdönmez. 3-3. Geir Søfteland succeeded in the game's 145th minute to get real power on a long shot . ATLETAS FC's Bedir Erdönmez hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 4-3! Bedir Erdönmez had in the 146thth minute some difficulties stopping Patryk Brack's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Patryk Brack's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Hermann Hesse on his right side and into the goal. 146 minutes into the game it was 4-4. The referee gave Deportivo Popolizio FBC a penalty, 147 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hermann Hesse, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ATLETAS FC's Bedir Erdönmez. 5-4.
