AC Roma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egil Sjögren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 徐帆海 kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Sforza came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Sforza in the 21st minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo De Nicola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitar Berbatov in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egil Sjögren got free with Enzo De Nicola in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elard Braun-Seitz in the 39th minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Montesacro FC fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Montesacro FC's Egil Sjögren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dimitar Berbatov was the one to do the kick off. Egil Sjögren scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enzo De Nicola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egil Sjögren took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enzo De Nicola. Enzo De Nicola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 63rd minute Egil Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo De Nicola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Ernesto Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montesacro FC's Anthony Del Gatto was substituted for Paolo Rossi. Ernesto Errolan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Enzo De Nicola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Sjögren in the 74th minute of play. Egil Sjögren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enzo De Nicola having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egil Sjögren in the 77th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Enzo De Nicola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montesacro FC's Ciccio Bussi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ernesto Errolan, made in the 79th minute of the game. 80 minutes into the match, AC Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Sjögren came free, but Enzo De Nicola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Egil Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 90th match minute, Montesacro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkinoos Baloukos to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Errolan made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Montesacro FC's Alkinoos Baloukos.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Montesacro FC fully deserved thier win.
