But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Estrada couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, Marsta FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Biörk to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Marsta FK's zone, Germano Estrada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Hegg came out of the goal and Germano Estrada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peniche FC's Gabriel Quintas got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Marsta FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Ståhlman to maneuver through the defense. Adérito Graça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaf Hegg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Hugo Brenner kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Marsta FK's Gustaf Hegg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Marsta FK from getting a goal against them. Gustaf Hegg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hipólito Espírito Santo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 39 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
