After 10 minutes of play, Marsta FK's Orvar Dalkvist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Björklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Timmy Ahlstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tunhems Idrottssällskap's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmy Ahlstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaf Hegg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute of the match, Timmy Ahlstedt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gustaf Hegg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Albert Offendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Björklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Brenner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Kennet Bocklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Offendahl during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tunhems Idrottssällskap getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Albert Offendahl hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orvar Dalkvist in the 33rd minute of play forced Tunhems Idrottssällskap's goalkeeper Jimmy Björklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Hegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo-Erik Wall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimmy Björklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kennet Bocklund in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Tunhems Idrottssällskap's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Brenner came free, but Jimmy Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Timmy Ahlstedt made a precise shot to the right of Gustaf Hegg. Marsta FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens Wahlnäs in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Hegg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th match minute, Marsta FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Nordstedt to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens Wahlnäs to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Marsta FK's zone, Timmy Ahlstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Hegg came out of the goal and Timmy Ahlstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Tunhems Idrottssällskap's Jimmy Björklund got control of the ball when Evert Nordstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Marcus Ståhlman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marsta FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Ståhlman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaf Hegg came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Tunhems Idrottssällskap's Jens Wahlnäs. But to his dismay, Jens Wahlnäs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens Wahlnäs in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Hegg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Marsta FK booed when Tunhems Idrottssällskap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Wahlnäs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaf Hegg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bo-Erik Wall fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tunhems Idrottssällskap's protests and gave Bo-Erik Wall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Tunhems Idrottssällskap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Wall to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes Marsta FK got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Brenner. 2-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Kennet Bocklund elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tunhems Idrottssällskap's Jens Wahlnäs got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Tunhems Idrottssällskap's Jens Wahlnäs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaf Hegg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Jimmy Björklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvar Dalkvist in the 95th minute.
