In the 13th match minute, Marsta FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Brenner to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Marsta FK's goalkeeper Gustaf Hegg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cemil Yaşar. Gustaf Hegg was a little too slow when Alphan Tunçöven got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Orhan Veli Soysaltürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orvar Dalkvist in the 30th minute of the match. Orvar Dalkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Alphan Tunçöven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arda Kortan got free with Gustaf Hegg in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arda Kortan to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustaf Hegg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arda Kortan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Marsta FK's goal looked a bit too open when Bilge Şerefhan came free, but Gustaf Hegg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marsta FK's Gustaf Hegg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buğrahan Bülbül in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arda Kortan in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Hegg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Arda Kortan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arda Kortan in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustaf Hegg saved Marsta FK from getting behind. In the 60th minute, Hugo Brenner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bilgehan Tutuş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orvar Dalkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orhan Veli Soysaltürk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Gustaf Hegg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arda Kortan's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Kortan in the 71st minute of play forced Marsta FK's goalkeeper Gustaf Hegg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Marsta FK defense, Arda Kortan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustaf Hegg. The Marsta FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustaf Hegg should have stopped the shot. RizeÇayeliSpor's Orhan Veli Soysaltürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Nordstedt in the 81st minute of play. Erik Berglund's late challenge caught a RizeÇayeliSpor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Berglund helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of RizeÇayeliSpor booed when Marsta FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Berglund didn't get a good kick on the ball.
