Fluminense DF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ the free kick. In the 10th minute, Oğuzcan Halıcı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Goiz in the 12th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Fluminense DF got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Kilman. 19 minutes into the match, Cayetano Monico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlisle Schultz. Fluminense DF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cayetano Monico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Caio Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Bernal having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fluminense DF's goalkeeper Carlisle Schultz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Valentin Bernal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 32nd minute of the match Fluminense DF got a corner. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aslan Raci ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 41st minute Ingemar Kilman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cayetano Monico to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Cayetano Monico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Valentin Bernal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Pedro Salvino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
