With a little luck, FC Koper's Bine Šercelj got control of the ball when Jonatan Felipo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basilio Justin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timi Osojnik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Joanes to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match Mato Podlogar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Justin skillfully saved the ball. Bine Šercelj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatan Felipo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Joaquin Fonso came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Fonso couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Luka Saje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luka Saje received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Basilio Justin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Brkić charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Brkić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Claudio Brkić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Felipo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Bine Šercelj skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 34 minutes FC Koper's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dionisio Monico who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Wilfredo Gaxan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bine Šercelj quite easily take care of the ball. Znadimir Tancek hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Znadimir Tancek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Justin came out of the goal and Znadimir Tancek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute Dionisio Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bine Šercelj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Monico. Znadimir Tancek got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Basilio Justin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mato Podlogar in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Gaston Joanes got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's Jonatan Felipo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bine Šercelj narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Elpidio Shantala kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Luka Saje had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Brkić got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 97th minute of the match Dionisio Monico sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bine Šercelj skillfully saved the ball. The FC Koper players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
