Clemente Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Surahammar's Jan Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Surahammar's Adrian Kodzhabashev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antônio Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Casemiro Joinvilense made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Virgil Van Dijk however managed to control. A collision led to PIRATAS TFP getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jacinto de Lara hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the game Eche Centrih made a throw-in which Gerson de Barros played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 34th minute of play forced PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Surahammar's Billy Fristedt got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jan Lindström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Oakley came free, but Antônio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by PIRATAS TFP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adrian Kodzhabashev was slow to take the kick. During this time Surahammar's players had a chance to rest. Abílio Pedroso thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Antônio Borges, a very annoying self made goal in the 41st minute which led to 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Grigoris Spanoulis with Jacinto de Lara as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Radamel Oakley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radamel Oakley. In the 64th minute, Eche Centrih hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Surahammar made a substitution. Folke Skröder replaced Vincent Benett. The supporters of Surahammar booed when PIRATAS TFP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eche Centrih didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Borges was a little too slow when Victor Santxol got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-3. Jan Lindström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto de Lara went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 75 minutes in the game Mark Brovall did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Folke Skröder. 79 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Santxol came free, but Antônio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Lindström came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by PIRATAS TFP's Jacinto de Lara. But to his dismay, Jacinto de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 85th minute, Jacinto de Lara made a precise shot to the right of Jan Lindström. Surahammar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Jacinto de Sousa made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Surahammar's Adrian Kodzhabashev. Antônio Borges made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Victor Santxol sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Santxol in the 94th minute of play forced PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
