Spectators: 450 (Terracing: 338, Seating: 103, VIP seats: 9) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when John Paul Pitts took the kick off in the first half of the match. Severo Rubio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gez Reading went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Velez FC's Severo Rubio got control of the ball when Gez Reading tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Chelsea Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Fenton to maneuver through the defense. Gomesano Benedicto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Velez FC's Imanol Navarro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Straker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. John Paul Pitts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Garry Foster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Severo Rubio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Hernán Acha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 32nd minute Imanol Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Straker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Chelsea Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Spike Sheene. When Hernán Acha fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Velez FC's protests and gave Hernán Acha a yellow card for diving instead. Hernán Acha kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Sidney Straker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aznaro Rossello in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Aznaro Rossello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Straker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Imanol Navarro in the 45th minute of play forced Chelsea Football Club's goalkeeper Sidney Straker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Imanol Navarro to strike the kick off in the second half. John Paul Pitts struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Severo Rubio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelsea Football Club. Edgardo Solera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Straker having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Chelsea Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Imanol Navarro came free, but Sidney Straker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Garry Foster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsea Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Foster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Velez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Reading came free, but Severo Rubio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Straker made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Aznaro Rossello sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gez Reading in the 64th minute of play forced Velez FC's goalkeeper Severo Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Velez FC's Imanol Navarro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sidney Straker. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. Sidney Straker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernán Acha in the 71st minute of the match. Garry Foster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, John Paul Pitts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but John Paul Pitts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severo Rubio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aznaro Rossello charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aznaro Rossello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chelsea Football Club booed when Velez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aznaro Rossello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Imanol Navarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chelsea Football Club the free kick. 86 minutes into the match, Velez FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Paul Pitts came free, but Severo Rubio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Hernán Acha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Chelsea Football Club's Sidney Straker got control of the ball when Edgardo Solera tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 95th minute of the match Hernán Acha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hernán Acha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
