After a rather tough play, Los Tira piedras's Zeledon Gutierrez got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Jonatan Madaleno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arsenio Ongile, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Madaleno in the 13th minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Arsenio Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vikings getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Silvio Beremundo hit a great ball. Jonatan Madaleno succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Esteve Jesco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Urti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Gregory kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Faustino Urti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Jesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Lázaro Marin put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Esteve Jesco. Faustino Urti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Esteve Jesco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Tira piedras's Esteve Jesco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Marin in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Los Tira piedras's Jonatan Madaleno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arsenio Ongile made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Madaleno to make the kick off. Los Tira piedras's Zeledon Gutierrez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Angel Polentzi in the 52 minute of the game. The supporters of Los Tira piedras booed when Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Jonatan Madaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Tira piedras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnaldo Canor in the 57th minute. In the 64th play minute Faustino Urti came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Esteve Jesco. 3-2. Jonatan Madaleno took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsenio Ongile. Arsenio Ongile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. If Lázaro Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Faustino Urti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteve Jesco. Los Tira piedras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Urti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Arsenio Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Madaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Madaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lázaro Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Los Tira piedras had played much better football throughout.
