The corner led Vikings's Edelmiro Macias to fire away a dangerous shot which Olimpiu Andrițoiu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Olimpiu Andrițoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Urti's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Damaso Sergi kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Vikings booed when Deportivo Madera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Quintyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Quintyn in the 28th minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Arsenio Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 41 minutes, Salvador Bernat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Madera and the Vikings players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Deportivo Madera got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Bernat. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teofilo Quintyn in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arsenio Ongile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Arsenio Ongile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Arsenio Ongile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Madera. Sergei Kanner made a great header on Deportivo Madera's corner, it was just that Vikings's Arsenio Ongile managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 87th minute Salvador Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Madera walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
