Mateus Salgado hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Douglas Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mirco Maier, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Alfredo da Rocha got a free kick in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Pereira got free with Olaf Lübke in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Mel Ecker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Otten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cláudio Couto lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cláudio Couto hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Mel Ecker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Olaf Lübke successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Heinrich Langer managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Otten's supporters rose to their feet, but Heinrich Langer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio Pereira hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Horácio Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Lübke having to interfere. Mirco Maier hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A collision led to SC Otten getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt hit a great ball. SC Otten's Rudi Tenhagen was substituted for Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt. SC Otten's Frederik Vielmann was substituted for Mirco Maier. SC Otten's Ronnie Schilder was substituted for Mel Ecker. A collision led to SC Otten getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kartikeya von Gyldenfeldt hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Horácio Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Otten. SORRISO E. C.'s Miguel da Rocha was substituted for Alfredo da Rocha. Douglas Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudi Tenhagen in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Otten's Sargon Baek got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes SC Otten got a freekick which was hit by Rudi Tenhagen. In the 87th minute, Mateus Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 88 minutes, Rudi Tenhagen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Otten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudi Tenhagen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Rudi Tenhagen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Douglas Viana. Rudi Tenhagen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Pereira in the 94th minute of play forced SC Otten's goalkeeper Olaf Lübke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when SC Otten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudi Tenhagen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
