Tomás Esiquio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudi Voeler's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Tomás Esiquio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudi Voeler in the 17th minute. Matey Trashliev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Otsoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudi Voeler got free with Tomás Esiquio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudi Voeler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Tomás Esiquio made a huge save. Rudi Voeler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Esiquio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Rudi Voeler struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Tomás Esiquio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DARAS. Rudi Voeler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Tomás Esiquio made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The Cavern Club's Mauro Luix was substituted for Basilio Lorien. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudi Voeler made a kick off. A collision led to DARAS getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Alek Rangachev hit a great ball. Alek Rangachev shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. DARAS's Dido Levicharov was substituted for Krum Timov. In the 96th match minute, DARAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dido Levicharov to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Cavern Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
