FK Partizan Beograd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guldhedstornet BK the free kick. In the 30th match minute, FK Partizan Beograd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miljan Lončarević to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute of the match Tobias Lövgren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Života Đurašević skillfully saved the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Guldhedstornet BK's goal looked a bit too open when Gruja Kuzman came free, but Alfons Myr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FK Partizan Beograd booed when Guldhedstornet BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Lövgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FK Partizan Beograd getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Veličko Drobnjaković hit a great ball. Sven-Ove Byström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Života Đurašević read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Života Đurašević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Tidéksson in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Ove Byström to make the kick off. FK Partizan Beograd's Života Đurašević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Lövgren in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Darko Šćepanović mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Partizan Beograd and the Guldhedstornet BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, FK Partizan Beograd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darko Šćepanović to maneuver through the defense. Miljan Lončarević was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Sven-Ove Byström kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 85thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FK Partizan Beograd's keeper Života Đurašević was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 89 minutes into the match, Sven-Ove Byström notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of FK Partizan Beograd's Života Đurašević. Života Đurašević was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Života Đurašević made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Jerry Tidéksson sent off a good shot on target. The Guldhedstornet BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guldhedstornet BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
