The tension between the AKHisaR and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tolga Soysal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Covrig having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's zone, Ramazan Afacan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vlad Covrig came out of the goal and Ramazan Afacan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastian Istodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Erol Özyurek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Behram Rıdvan's late challenge caught a PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Behram Rıdvan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, AKHisaR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behram Rıdvan to maneuver through the defense. Egemen Toralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Cârlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Cârlan in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egemen Toralp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vlad Covrig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yakup Hacıoğlu in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, AKHisaR's Behram Rıdvan got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramazan Afacan was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Damian Cârlan made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. AKHisaR's Egemen Toralp tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Damian Cârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Calistrat Şerbănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKHisaR the free kick. Calistrat Şerbănescu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Egemen Toralp had in the 71stth minute some difficulties stopping Sebastian Istodor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca defense, Yakup Hacıoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlad Covrig. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlad Covrig should have stopped the shot. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yakup Hacıoğlu in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in AKHisaR's zone, Damian Cârlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egemen Toralp came out of the goal and Damian Cârlan tried to chip the ball over his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
