In the 7th minute of the match Guido Emennegger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricky Rowe skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute Dane Oldham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Sevier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max Sevier made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Patrick Toovey sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, FC Lugano's Max Sevier got control of the ball when Patrick Toovey tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute, FC Lugano's Palmiro Brennwald seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Palmiro Brennwald the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Lugano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Palmiro Brennwald had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 28 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Palmiro Brennwald. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Palmiro Brennwald got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a little luck, FC Lugano's Max Sevier got control of the ball when Sebastian Selby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricky Rowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matteo Gartenmann in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Tito Waechter hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dane Oldham in the 41st minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tito Waechter during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dane Oldham was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Ulric Donsante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Egg Chasers FC the free kick. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Patrick Toovey hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Mullen in the 57th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dane Oldham came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Egg Chasers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dane Oldham couldn't finish the play. Jay Mullen might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Max Sevier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jay Mullen ran back to his position shaking his head. After 69 minutes, Odysseus De Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lugano and the Egg Chasers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Odysseus De Souza got a free kick in the 69th minute. Sebastian Selby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Ulric Donsante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Rowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Mullen in the 78th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes of play, Egg Chasers FC's Dane Oldham made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Max Sevier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Max Sevier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Toovey, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Egg Chasers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastian Selby in the 87th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dane Oldham got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Max Sevier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Tade Zeller hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dane Oldham in the 91st minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Lugano succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Egg Chasers FC had controlled the match.
