The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ernesto Ascencio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cura del Futbol protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ernesto Ascencio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 28th minute, Mano Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebio Cai was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to Cura del Futbol getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Teo Emeterio hit a great ball. Gaspar Verastegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Aznar in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Eusebio Cai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laffitte Rioz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ximen Rosser in the 41st minute of play forced Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Eusebio Cai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gaspar Verastegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Itzaina in the 54th minute of play. Nereo Aznar struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Gaspar Verastegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cura del Futbol. In the 61st minute, Ugutz Azpilcueta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nereo Aznar 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Nereo Aznar struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gaspar Verastegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cura del Futbol. 85 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Laffitte Rioz came free, but Eusebio Cai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusebio Cai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lobo Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Guido Arizabal kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Carolo Chus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cura del Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carolo Chus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 94 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Ximen Rosser. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Laffitte Rioz hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match, Nereo Aznar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gaspar Verastegui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Cura del Futbol supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cura del Futbol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
