Max Sevier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Sabin in the 2nd minute of play. When Tito Waechter fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lugano's protests and gave Tito Waechter a yellow card for diving instead. If Odysseus De Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Lugano's Max Sevier got control of the ball when Denis Bastiaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Max Sevier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. CLATHU's Rene Irrintzi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Max Sevier but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulric Donsante in the 19th minute of play forced CLATHU's goalkeeper Dario Evis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Florian Diederich managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Diederich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Evis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stephen Witschard hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes of play, FC Lugano's Odysseus De Souza made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dario Evis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dario Evis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseus De Souza in the 28th minute of play. Dario Evis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulric Donsante in the 31st minute of the match. Stephen Witschard kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Bastiaro. The audience was convinced that Odysseus De Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Evis was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Bastiaro to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, CLATHU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Gabino to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 53 minutes, Stephen Witschard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephen Witschard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiziano Gamache in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Evis saved CLATHU from getting behind. Dario Evis was a little too slow when Tiziano Gamache got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-4. FC Lugano's Fidelio Haller was substituted for Fedor Adler. If Hugo Haller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jacobo Sabin came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the CLATHU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Sabin couldn't finish the play. CLATHU's Dario Evis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 65th minute of play. Dario Evis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiziano Gamache in the 67th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tiziano Gamache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Evis was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Tiziano Gamache received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dario Evis came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiziano Gamache slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 70th minute. Jacobo Harriet's late challenge caught a FC Lugano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Harriet helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when CLATHU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Harriet didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to CLATHU getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jacobo Harriet hit a great ball. Tiziano Gamache in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dario Evis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dario Evis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Diederich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, CLATHU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Harriet to maneuver through the defense. Dario Evis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiziano Gamache went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Dario Evis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Lugano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
