After 41 minutes of play, Grox Team F.C.'s Godofredo Oriol made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Barovero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Godofredo Oriol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Barovero. River CBBA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godofredo Oriol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Juan Funes made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Godofredo Oriol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Barovero was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. When Lucio Blanco fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Barovero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. But to his dismay, Godofredo Oriol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After 89 played minutes Grox Team F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Romero. In the 90th minute Argoitz Abeijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Olayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Olayo in the 98th minute of the match. Grox Team F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of River CBBA for a fine match.
