Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oihan De Toro in the 23rd minute of play. Erling Bennet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Willem-Jan Hollanders when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Bryan Creemers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aşkın Özgunes. Soulfly F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryan Creemers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oihan De Toro was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryan Creemers got free with Aşkın Özgunes in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Tim Vranken couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Mark Vaes got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Mark Vaes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mark Vaes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Les Bistouquettes Bleues protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mark Vaes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mark Vaes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bozkurt Veysi in the 60th minute of play forced Les Bistouquettes Bleues's goalkeeper Willem-Jan Hollanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Soulfly F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rene Luzea. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Mbaka Mbabaotu was substituted for Tim Vranken. After a defensive mix-up in Soulfly F.C.'s zone, Bryan Creemers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Les Bistouquettes Bleues booed when Soulfly F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balaban Mirkelam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herve de Neuyter hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Mbaka Mbabaotu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Soulfly F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dany-Adams Coeckelberghs came free, but Aşkın Özgunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Herve de Neuyter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soulfly F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Les Bistouquettes Bleues the free kick. A collision led to Soulfly F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Herve de Neuyter hit a great ball. Soulfly F.C.'s Vatan Şirzat was substituted for Ayberk Türkoğlu. In the 78th match minute, Soulfly F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herve de Neuyter to maneuver through the defense. Willem-Jan Hollanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Arsene Van Hamme reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aşkın Özgunes. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 95th minute Dany-Adams Coeckelberghs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aşkın Özgunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Balaban Mirkelam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soulfly F.C. and the Les Bistouquettes Bleues players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Soulfly F.C.'s Balaban Mirkelam got a free kick in the 96th minute. Mbaka Mbabaotu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşkın Özgunes having to interfere. The Soulfly F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Les Bistouquettes Bleues were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
