Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) FC Basel's 狄迪傲 started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Huang Rong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okanalp Tuncer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Huang Rong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A sloppy throw-in by Grant Pustak in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Golden Generation's Lucjan Winnicki. Turgay Şeren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 狄迪傲 in the 14th minute of the match. Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 狄迪傲 in the 18th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Golden Generation's Huang Rong made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Okanalp Tuncer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute of the match, Huang Rong tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Okanalp Tuncer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 25 minutes into the match, Huang Rong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Okanalp Tuncer. FC Basel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huang Rong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Okanalp Tuncer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huang Rong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 狄迪傲 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Turgay Şeren having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, FC Basel's 狄迪傲 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turgay Şeren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, 狄迪傲 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Basel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 45th match minute, FC Basel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Vestberg to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 46th minute Golden Generation's Ulises Dimas took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Okanalp Tuncer and thus the score was 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Golden Generation's Yorrick Hekman was substituted for Toni Delgado. FC Basel's 狄迪傲 got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 狄迪傲 might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Turgay Şeren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 狄迪傲 ran back to his position shaking his head. When Golden Generation's Ulises Dimas in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Basel's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, Gavino Castulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okanalp Tuncer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elivélton Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Golden Generation were awarded a corner. Ulises Dimas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ulises Dimas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Basel's Okanalp Tuncer did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elivélton Cunha in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okanalp Tuncer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Turgay Şeren made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when 狄迪傲 sent off a good shot on target. If Yorrick Hekman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Basel made a substitution. Simon Wedlock replaced Long Dong. When Golden Generation's Elivélton Cunha in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Basel's goalie prevented a goal. Golden Generation were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after FC Basel's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulises Dimas took the corner. 85 minutes into the match, Golden Generation's goal looked a bit too open when 狄迪傲 came free, but Turgay Şeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Basel's Okanalp Tuncer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Dimas in the 88th minute of play. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Elivélton Cunha sped through FC Basel's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Okanalp Tuncer. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Generation fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Basel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
