In the 17th minute Christos Triantafyllou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tymoteusz Mios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chiquinho Alagoano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Palmquist firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wofgang Kopitz in the 25th minute of play forced Granate's goalkeeper Jonathan Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Palmquist was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Heinz Rummel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Heinz Rummel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Simon Bannenbusch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jonathan Palmquist made a huge save. The supporters of KFC Uerdingen 05 booed when Granate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Kirby didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes, KFC Uerdingen 05's Arseniy Bokatyuk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Palmquist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KFC Uerdingen 05 reached it. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Chiquinho Alagoano got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaakko Ramstadius in the 37th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Tymoteusz Mios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Palmquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heinz Rummel in the 38th minute. Arseniy Bokatyuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jonathan Palmquist made a huge save. Heinz Rummel in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Palmquist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Granate getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Syaiful Abidin hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Bannenbusch was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wofgang Kopitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Gencer Hisarcık got a free kick in the 58th minute. Tymoteusz Mios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaakko Ramstadius in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Simon Bannenbusch made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Palmquist. Granate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. KFC Uerdingen 05's Tymoteusz Mios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Triantafyllou in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Simon Bannenbusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Bannenbusch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wofgang Kopitz took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Palmquist. Jonathan Palmquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. KFC Uerdingen 05's Julian Froylan was substituted for Heinz Rummel. KFC Uerdingen 05's Artemio Banegas was substituted for Simon Bannenbusch. Jonathan Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Banegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Granate were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after KFC Uerdingen 05's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enzo Hermon took the corner. Granate's Jaakko Ramstadius was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tymoteusz Mios in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Granate's Jonathan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wofgang Kopitz in the 84th minute of play. Ricardo Lugebiel charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Lugebiel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 90 minutes into the match, Wofgang Kopitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Palmquist. Granate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wofgang Kopitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Granate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arseniy Bokatyuk was slow to take the kick. During this time KFC Uerdingen 05's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Arseniy Bokatyuk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Granate's Jonathan Palmquist did a great save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KFC Uerdingen 05 fully deserved thier win.
