Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máximo Laureano in the 12th minute of play. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Vargas in the 18th minute of the match. If Máximo Laureano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo lago got free with Máximo Correia in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Máximo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 雷岚旭, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Gaxan got free with Máximo Correia in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Máximo Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo lago in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the game, Portugal's Reginaldo Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin van der Sar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Yuri Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin van der Sar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Yuri Vargas made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Witalis Konopka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal's Máximo Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 雷岚旭 in the 53rd minute of play. Uɴɪᴀ̃ᴏ Sᴘᴏʀᴛ Cʟᴜʙ Pᴀʀᴇᴅᴇs were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardo lago took the corner. Máximo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Gaxan in the 63rd minute of the match. Leukothoe Atsidakos might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Máximo Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leukothoe Atsidakos ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leukothoe Atsidakos in the 64th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Máximo Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo lago came free, but Máximo Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Uɴɪᴀ̃ᴏ Sᴘᴏʀᴛ Cʟᴜʙ Pᴀʀᴇᴅᴇs's Leukothoe Atsidakos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Máximo Correia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. But to his dismay, 雷岚旭 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 87 minutes into the match, Yuri Vargas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edwin van der Sar, 3-3. If 雷岚旭 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
