The audience thought a goal was coming when Damon Barfield got free with Calum Hirst in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Curtis Eslworth hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Howard Acton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Norman, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Windsor's Nial Barat got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 18th match minute, Goal Diggers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chip Pilkington to maneuver through the defense. Howard Acton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Robson in the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Edward Simpson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goal Diggers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Windsor the free kick. Edward Simpson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. David Anson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calum Hirst having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Grant Stockton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Calum Hirst was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Robson in the 29th minute of play forced Goal Diggers FC's goalkeeper Howard Acton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damon Barfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Gavan in the 33rd minute of play forced Goal Diggers FC's goalkeeper Howard Acton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, Goal Diggers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Simpson to maneuver through the defense. Howard Acton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Norman in the 43rd minute of play. Howard Acton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Robson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damon Barfield to strike the kick off in the second half. Goal Diggers FC's Howard Acton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Goal Diggers FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Des Munroe in the 54th minute of play forced Goal Diggers FC's goalkeeper Howard Acton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Goal Diggers FC's Howard Acton got control of the ball when Rupert Norman tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Des Munroe in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Howard Acton saved Goal Diggers FC from getting behind. Rupert Norman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Howard Acton firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rupert Normans short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Howard Acton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 68 played minutes Goal Diggers FC got a freekick which was hit by Dom Garforth. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Windsor's Kyle Robson in the 69th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Howard Acton was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Goal Diggers FC through an amazing save. In the 69th play minute Kyle Robson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Howard Acton. 1-1. Howard Acton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Robson in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes, Denny Fowler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goal Diggers FC and the Windsor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 minutes of play Goal Diggers FC's Edward Simpson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th minute Kyle Robson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Howard Acton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Robson in the 83rd minute of play forced Goal Diggers FC's goalkeeper Howard Acton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goal Diggers FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kyle Robson 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Frank Gavan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Howard Acton. Goal Diggers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Gavan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Howard Acton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Robson in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Robson in the 93rd minute of play forced Goal Diggers FC's goalkeeper Howard Acton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Windsor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Goal Diggers FC throughout the match.
